Design system

Flexible and vibrant.

The ebm-papst design principle is not rigid in any way. It has been developed so that it can be applied to the widest range of media.
Limited rules and freedom in handling form and color allow for a vibrant Corporate Design.

Adaptable color areas

The color areas can be positioned flexibly on the design area, either bleeding into the format or equally as a freestanding element. Ideally, a single color is used over a large area. All areas are at right-angles to one another.

Vibrant color world

The areas of color are in one of the 6 design colors, which all carry equal weighting and are used with no coding by sectors, areas or product groups.

Logo box on the design axis

The logo box is aligned flexibly along the design axis. In doing so, pay attention to sufficient spacing to the lettering. The color area can be placed above or below the design axis.

Harmonious combination

The color area and the image area are matched to one another in such a way that no relevant information from the image is lost.

Communicative headlines

Headlines and reader text are placed exclusively on the color area. The font size is dependent on the format and is optimized for readability. They are always set left-justified, in white.
